My first purchase of the n97 in white, had two problems. One was with a light-bleed on the red end key and the second, was the problem of viewing the keypad during sub-standard light. As shown above, the characters on the white n97 keypad becomes almost invisible. I had wanted the n97 for the past few months but was undecided about the colour up to the day before it was released in the UK.
Not being one to rest on my laurel's, within half an hour of ownership, excluding travelling time, my white n97 was reboxed. A hot horrid stuffy day was Saturday 20 June, but again I was travelling uptown to Nokia's flagship store. My white n97 was changed to a black n97 with no light-bleed and a great display backlight on the keypad..
